DJ Graeme Wallace is an Etobicoke-based record collector and family man who spends his weekends exploring the dusty corners of places like Toledo, Dayton and Cleveland—importing the rarest of cuts to Canada from the Dollar Bin of America. He is a walking, talking, driving encyclopedia of faded funk, sleazy soul and blighted boogie who rarely ventures outside of his natural habitats of flea markets and dollar stores, preferring to privately revel in the prestige of his records at his digs in West Toronto, surrounded by a close group of prestigious acolytes—the chosen few who can truly appreciate the true greatness of his records. We met Graeme in a back bunker record room in Scarborough on the coldest day of the year a few months back, and he not only put us onto some of the most prestigious cuts, but also drove us home and saved our asses from frostbite! Talk about elevating your community! On this mix, Graeme selects some familiar faves for a one-hour journey. Good timin' indeed.
